The point is that W/Mo has a 'great build' already with the pre-searing skills so that's why you keep meeting them. You can counter it by making a real great build with other classes. In other words, W/Mo are very good but to a certain extent. There are enough classes that can beat the **** out of it.

Hmmm... I suspect the problem is your own less than optimal play of your own character build, Malevolent. There are too many people finding great success with Necro spells vs. warrior types.

They're push overs. If your team focus fires. Any class is a push over if your team works as a unit to take them down.

o.O yeah warrior monks are popular among noobs (not to say everyone who uses one is a noob). When you do the pvp made char PVP I get 2-3 w/mo every fight.
The problem isn't killing one of them, the problem is making them stay dead when there is 3 of them.
But yeah warrior/necs stomp warrior/monks in a 1 on 1 fight.

Because of the larger and larger frequency of W/Mos in PvP, I've started gearing my skills (I'm a Me/Mo) towards at least slightly crippling a W/Mo. Mainly I'm trying to keep enchantments off, and keep their energy low. It's a work in progress...But I can tell that eventually I'll be able to take them down easily.

You also have to remember that a lot (ok... some =P) wa/mos aren't running healing at all... In PvP, just for kicks, I run a wa/mo that is smiting, str, and swords, the only monk spells I bring are judge's insight and strength of honor. In that case, the wa/mo is just DPS, and doesn't survive any better than any other war/x. One important spell you can always bring is something to get rid of enchantments. Most healing wa/mos have healing breeze (some have mending...) and the smiting one will have JI 100% of the time, and SoH usually. Take those away, and you just have a gimped melee not doing much of anything.

In the "open" pvp areas there are alot of war/monks running around and I see their str.. im pretty sure a necro/something could kill 1 warrior face to face. But when you got 2-3 assist, there isn't much that will help. Anything else dies very fast in the pvp arena. I got a necro/war who can "stay" alive.. and that's abit it. dmg output isn't the best in the world, hehe. Could prolly also beat a warrior/monk face to face.

in a perfect world, any class should be able to be any other class with the correct mix of skills. the only thing that makes w/mo's so strong for one is spamming healing breeze. which basically nullifies all of your physical attacks. dots and enchantment breaking spells will pizzown a w/mo with ease.

I could, but then I'd have to kill you.
Just do some experaminting, and find something that suits you.

Matters at what level. I know at low level (level 10) my ranger owns everyone in the random arena, without using necro skills. gotta love the fav winds+ignite arrows+hunters shot combo... along with a distracting shot if they use res/healing signet

My 2 gold... all things being equal (levels, player experience, etc)...
ANY mesmer > ANY monk, except a Me/Mo or Mo/Me > ANY non-monk mesmer.
Also, Necros are the banes of Monks (no matter the other profession), and this one really depends on player skills.
